JOB TITLE: Electrical Designer

As a leader in the water and wastewater treatment industry, we are growing and have a number of exciting positions available right now, including a full-time Electrical Designer.

JOB SUMMARY

Reporting to the Electrical Engineering Manager, the Electrical Designer will review submittal drawings and data required for customer design approval, create and release drawings, part numbers and special parts for orders. The Additionally, the Electrical Designer will also produce Bills of Material for panel assemblies, produce the electrical section of the Operation and Maintenance Manuals, and coordinate with Mechanical Engineering on contract projects.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Review preparation of submittal drawings and data required for customer design approval.
  2. Create and release new drawings, part numbers and special parts for orders.
  3. Produce Bills of Material for panel assemblies.
  4. Produce electrical section of the Operation and Maintenance Manuals.
  5. Design and/or inspect equipment for specification compliance.
  6. Issue engineering change orders
  7. Work with vendors to locate components and obtain quotes.
  8. Provide technical support to Customer Service, Customers, Sales and Manufacturing.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  1. An Associates Degree in Electrical Design or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
  2. Must be computer literate and be knowledgeable of MS Office software.
  3. Strong verbal and written skills are critical. Able to negotiate the Company’s position with customers while maintaining favorable relationship.
  4. Proficiency with AutoCad and/or AutoCad Electrical is a must.
