Aqua-Aerobic Systems, Inc. (Loves Park, IL) officially introduced the AquaNereda® Aerobic Granular Sludge Technology during the company’s national training seminar on April 6, 2017. More than 100 of the company’s independent representatives attended the training where the new AquaNereda technology was presented by the company’s technical staff.
The AquaNereda technology represents an evolution in activated sludge treatment, replicating the same effluent quality as a well-designed enhanced Biological Nutrient Removal facility but without the use of chemicals by using the patented aerobic granular sludge technology. The dramatically reduced footprint and low energy requirement of the AquaNereda process provides a competitive alternative for high performance plants.
Aqua-Aerobic Systems is currently building a full-scale AquaNereda process at the Rock River Water Reclamation District in Rockford, IL. This facility will demonstrate the AquaNereda Aerobic Granular Sludge Technology and will be an integral part of the company’s industry-known technical seminar program. The facility will help accelerate the implementation of aerobic granular sludge technology in North America. More information is available at www.aquanereda.com
